Translation: A person who has done bad things and is afraid that others will know about it, this person still retains some sense of shame, that is, he still retains a little conscience to change for the better amidst his evil deeds; a person who has done some good deeds and is eager to let others know about it, proves that he is doing good deeds only for the sake of fame and praise. This person who does good deeds with a purpose has already planted the seeds of evil when he does good deeds.
译文：一个人做了坏事而怕别人知道，这种人还保留了一些羞耻之心，也就是在恶性之中还保留一点改过向善的良知;一个人做了一 点善事就急着让人知道，证明他行善只是为了贪图虚名和赞誉，这种有目的才做善事的人，在他做善事时已经种下了恶根。

为恶而畏人知，恶中尤有善路；为善而急人知，善处即是恶根。
If a man does a bad thing and fears that others will find out, it shows that, despite his wickedness, he still has a conscience. If a man does a good deed and is anxious for others to know about it, it shows that in the midst of his benevolence lurks a tendency to evil.
