草深迷市井，地僻懒衣裳。

The limpid river winding by my cottage,
The wattled gate opens to the old passage.
The trails to market town are deep grass-grown,
Living remote, I mind not my shabby gown.
The willows swing their strings, so frail and fair;
The loquats cluster on trees, scenting the air.
The sun is westering with golden rings,
On the kiddle the cormorants bask their wings.

Du Fu
A farmer’s cot in the bend of a clear river,
A gate of wood beside an ancient road;
The path to well and market hid in grass,
Neglect to dress in this retired abode.
Tender each branch of weeping willow tree,
And sweet the scent of loquat grown in pair;
In westering sunlight cormorants spread wings
And crowd the fishermen’s wharf to dry them there.
