“Farmer” is a song by the Hong Kong rock band Beyond, composed by Wong Ka Kui and arranged by Beyond and Liang Bangyan. The song has two versions, Cantonese and Mandarin. The Cantonese version was written by Liu Zhuohui and included in Beyond’s Cantonese album “Continue the Revolution” released by Warner Music Group on July 10, 1992 [2]; the Mandarin version was written by Yao Ruolong and included in Beyond’s Mandarin album “Faith” released by Rolling Stone International Music Co., Ltd. on December 4, 1992.
The song was adapted from the interlude “Declaration of Civil and Military Heroes” written for the 1990 movie “Happy Ghost Saves Happy Ghost”.
