Huainanzi “(also known as” Huainan Honglie “or” Liu Anzi “) is a philosophical work compiled by the Huainan Prince Liu An and his followers during the Western Han Dynasty, who collected historical materials. The Huainanzi is said to have been written by Liu An, the Prince of Huainan of the Western Han Dynasty, hence its name. On the basis of inheriting the pre-qin Taoism, the book integrates the essence of various schools of thought, and plays an irreplaceable role in the study of the culture of the Qin and Han dynasties by later generations.

The Blind Man and the Lame Man

A certain country was invaded by its enemy. When a lame man there told a blind man of this, the blind man carried the lame one on his back and they escaped together. They did this by making use of each other’s strong points.
