Duanmu Shuqing (also known as Duanmu Shuqing) was active around the time of Emperor Jiajing of the Ming Dynasty (1522-1566). Born in Dangtu (now part of Anhui). My great grandfather Duanhong (Duanmuhong), also known as Zhongren and Tanzhai, held various official positions including Deputy Inspector of Shaanxi, Inspector of Shandong, and Governor of Zhejiang.
端淑卿（即端木淑卿），活动于明世宗嘉靖（1522～1566）前后。当涂（今属安徽）人。曾祖父端宏（端木宏），字仲仁，号坦斋，曾任陕西按察司副使、山东按察使、浙江布政使等官职。

Autumn waters vast and vague, belted by white duckgrass;
Fishing boats and crab nets crowd the lakeshore.
The great sky comes to twilight, mist and clouds rise;
I hear the sound of song, but see no one.
