Hangzhou 杭州 is the economic, cultural, scientific, and educational center of Zhejiang Province, one of the central cities of the Yangtze River Delta 长江三角洲, the core city of the Greater Bay Area around Hangzhou Bay, and the central city of G60 science and technology innovation Corridor G60科创走廊.
Hangzhou is the birthplace of Chinese civilization and is one of the first batches of national historical and cultural cities, known as the “Southeast Famous County” 东南名郡 in the world. Hangzhou has a history of more than 2,200 years since it was established as a county in the Qin Dynasty. It was once the capital of the State of Wu Yue 吴越国 and the Southern Song Dynasty 南宋朝.
