拔地摩天独立高,

莲峰涌出海东涛。

二千五百年前雪,

一白茫茫积未消。

注释:

[1]这首诗是赞美日本的富士山的。

Mount Fuji in Japan[1]

Huang Zunxian

The earth bursts forth to scrape the sky; lofty appears;

The Lotus Peak surging from the Eastern Sea.

The snow has lasted o’er two thousand five hundred years;

Its boundless white has purified a myriad li.

注释:

[1]Mount Fujiyama, the highest mountain in Japan, was also called Lotus Peak in Chinese, for it looked like a white lotus bloom.
