The first three lines of this poem use metaphors, contrast, exaggeration and other rhetorical devices to introduce Princess Changning’s villa, and the last line expresses gratitude and thanks to the emperor for hosting the banquet. The whole poem is detailed, with gorgeous words and many flattering words.
此诗前三句用比喻、对比、夸张等多种修辞手法对长宁公主别墅进行介绍，最后一句写对赐筵的皇帝表示感恩和谢意。全诗铺写具体，辞藻华丽，较多歌功颂德的溢美之词。

At the Emperor’s Feast in Princess Changning’s East Manor

On the outskirts stands on grass land a beautiful villa,
Tinkling imperial carriages from the sky descend here.
At long-table feast officials like egrets and mandarin ducks gather,
For the fairy music of flutes phoenixes show their favour.
Trees in the south adjoin the Zhongnan Mountain near,
Far away to the north we can see the misty Wei River.
Everyone by his special grace drinks his fill,
Carriages stay after feast, the Emperor lingers around still.
