烛影摇红，
向夜阑[1]，
乍酒醒、
心情懒。
尊前谁为唱阳关，
离恨天涯远。
无奈云沉雨散。
凭阑干、

海棠开后，
燕子来时，

The candle flickers red
At dead of night,
I wake from wine in bed,
My mind in idle plight.
Who sings before a cup of wine songs of goodbye?
My parting grief goes as far as the sky.
What can I do after you brought fresh shower
For my thirsting flower?
I lean on balustrade,
In eastern breeze my eyes shed tears.
When the crabapple flowers fade,
The swallow disappears,
The evening is hard in my courtyard.

《忆故人·烛影摇红》是北宋词人王诜（shēn）的词作。此词写宴别，上片写宴会上的情景。下片写别后相思，海棠开后，无人共赏，双燕来时，庭院寂然，时值黄昏，更觉凄凉。全词工丽婉曲，新颖别致。
This is a poem written by Wang Mon (shēn), a lyricist of the Northern Song Dynasty. It is about a banquet. The first piece is about the scene at the banquet. The second piece is about the longing after the farewell. After the begonia blooms, no one is there to enjoy it. The whole lyric is elegant, graceful and original.
