“Looking at Kuang Lu from Jiang Xing” is a five-character quatrain written by the Tang Dynasty poet Qian Qi. The poem begins with “I am worried about the wind and rain, Kuang Lu is not accessible”, which casually incorporates the meaning of “Jiang Xing” in the title, but does not state it explicitly, but only hints at it from another angle, using the writing technique of “hidden beginning”.
Mount Lu Viewed in Rain
Qian Qi
I can’t climb up Mount Lu nearby,
For ir is veiled in wind and rain,
I doubt in cloud and mist on high
If holy men if old remain.
