“Zuoye Pear Blossom” is a five-character quatrain written by the Tang Dynasty poet Qiu Wei. This poem expresses the poet’s hope that the monarch can know the merits of pear blossoms, which are actually the poet’s own merits, so that the poet can realize his ideal of serving the country, and shows the feudal scholar-officials’ mentality of actively serving the country. The whole poem integrates the scenery in front of the eyes and the aspirations in the heart, and it is very artistically desirable.
《左掖梨花》是唐代诗人丘为创作的一首五绝。此诗表达了诗人希望君主能知道梨花的优点，其实也就是诗人自己的优点，从而能使诗人实现报效国家的理想，表现了封建士大夫积极用世的心态。全诗把眼前景、胸中志融为一体，腾挪跳跃，不露斧凿之痕，在艺术上很有可取之处。
