
“Cihu Jia Zu Feng” is one of the poems of Su Shi, a writer in the Song Dynasty. This group of poems was written in June of the first year of Shaosheng (1094) when Su Shi was on his way to Yingzhou (now Yingde, Guangdong). Cihu Jia: in the north of Dangtu County, Anhui Province. This group of seven-character quatrains describes the natural scenery and life scenes on the way to exile.
《慈湖夹阻风》是宋代文学家苏轼的组诗之一。此组诗写于绍圣元年(1094)六月,苏轼时赴英州(今广东英德)途中。慈湖夹:在今安徽当涂县北。这组七绝描写贬谪途中的自然景色和生活情景。

Braced by its stays, the mast-head creaks and groans,
Sound sleeps the boatman in the foaming spray,
Well knowing his bamboo hawser,
Weak as it seems, will stand the wind’s full fury.
