The Four Poems of Fisherman “is a composition of poems created by the Song Dynasty literary figure Su Shi. Modern scholars generally believe that this group of works was created during Su Shi’s exile to Huangzhou (now Huanggang, Hubei). The first poem depicts a fisherman exchanging fish and crabs with a tavern for drinks, without considering the price; The second poem depicts a fisherman returning home drunk, lying on a fishing boat, letting go of his belongings, and waking up without knowing where he is; The third song depicts the fisherman waking up in the midst of falling flowers and flying fluff at noon, drinking again, getting drunk again, and getting drunk again; The fourth poem depicts the fisherman accompanying the seagulls in the wind and rain, carefree and carefree, while the officials on the run cross the river in a solitary boat. The four works are both independent and integrated as a whole, using a combination of description, narration, and discussion, as well as the integration of scenery, events, and reason, vividly depicting the fisherman’s extraordinary and leisurely scene, full of life charm.
