Ding Xianzhi

渡扬子江 丁仙芝[1] 桂楫[2]中流[3]望， 空波[4]两畔[5]明， 林开扬子驿[6]， 山出润州城[7]。 海尽[8]边阴静， 江寒朔吹[9]生。 更闻枫叶下[10]， 淅沥[11]度[12]秋声。 注释： [1] 丁仙芝：盛唐诗人，天宝进士。这是一首写景悲秋的诗。伤春悲秋，人生苦短，这是古代诗人常写的主题。 [2] 桂楫：桂木制成的船桨。 [3] 中流：河流中央。 [4] 空波：空旷浩渺的水波。 [5] 两畔：两岸。 [6] 扬子驿：扬子津畔的驿站，位于今江苏境内。 [7] 润州城：今江苏镇江。 [8] 海尽：古云扬子江的尽头与东海相接。 [9] 朔吹：北风。 [10] 下：落下。 [11] 淅沥：此处指落叶声。 [12] 度：传来。 Crossing the Yangzi River Ding Xianzhi At midstream I rest on my oars, And see clear waves brighten the shores. Northern forest looks like a crown, In southern mountains stands the town. The sea ends by shady frontier; The river's cold with north wind drear. I hear more falling maple leaves; They drizzle as if autumn grieves.
