“Inspiration” is a seven-character quatrain written by Tan Sitong in 1896. The poet recalled the humiliating Treaty of Shimonoseki signed by the Qing government in 1895, and expressed his concern for the country.

《有感一章》是一首七言绝句,作者是谭嗣同。此诗写于1896年,诗人想起1895年清政府签订丧权辱国的《马关条约》,有感而发,直抒忧国之情。
