谈印梅，字缃卿，浙江归安（今湖州）人。谈学庭次女，孙廷篦妻。少时与姊印莲学诗于孙宪仪，才情尤胜，时人以为一郡闺秀之冠。亦能词善画，有《九嶷仙馆诗词钞》三卷。
Dian Jiang Lips: Reflections on Cold Night “is a poem written by Tang Yinmei, a female poet in the Qing Dynasty, expressing loneliness and sorrow on a cold night.
The poem depicts the loneliness and desolation in the deep boudoir, “Lonely deep boudoir, when the moonlight is as cool as water through the window.” The opening points out the theme, and the poet in the deep boudoir is filled with loneliness and solitude in the face of the cool moonlight. This loneliness and solitude are infinitely amplified in the cold night, making it difficult for the poet to fall asleep, “sleepless at night”, tears soaking through his clothes, “drenched with heavy tears”.
The poet tossed and turned on the bed, with only a faint light by his side. ‘Turning and turning on the bed, there was only a pair of orchids.’. The chirping of insects and cranes in the courtyard further stirred the poet’s heart and deepened the melancholic atmosphere in the lyrics.
The whole poem has sincere emotions and a melancholic mood, showcasing the poet’s loneliness and sorrow in the cold night through delicate brushstrokes. The poet expresses his inner loneliness and sorrow vividly against the backdrop of “lonely boudoir” and against the backdrop of “moon as cool as water”. At the same time, phrases such as “drenched in tears” and “heartbroken” in the poem are also highly infectious, allowing readers to deeply feel the poet’s emotional world.
