
夜宿[1]山寺
危楼[2]高百尺,
手可摘星辰。
不敢高声语,
恐惊天上人。
如果说《与夏十二登岳阳楼》是写景抒情之作,那《夜宿山寺》就是一首想象丰富的浪漫主义小诗。前者不说楼高,只写周边景物,却用烘云托月法衬出楼高;后者直说“危楼高百尺”,而用想象“手可摘星辰”的夸张手法来充实叙述。这样虚中有实、实中有虚的写法,使人虚实不分,模模糊糊,更会觉得寺高。接着“不敢高声语”又是实写,“恐惊天上人”却是虚假的想象。前两句写所见所感,后两句写所听所闻,这样虚虚实实,有声有色,就使人如见“山外青山楼外楼”了。

If “Climbing Yueyang Tower with Xia Twelve” is a descriptive and lyrical work, then “Staying at a Mountain Temple at Night” is a romantic poem with rich imagination. The former does not mention the height of the tower, but only describes the surrounding scenery, but uses the method of setting off the moon with clouds to highlight the height of the tower; the latter directly says “the dangerous tower is a hundred feet high”, but uses the exaggerated method of imagining “you can pick the stars with your hands” to enrich the description. This kind of writing method of reality in the virtual and virtual in the real makes people unable to distinguish between the virtual and the real, and makes them feel that the temple is high. Then “dare not speak loudly” is also a real description, but “fear of alarming the people in heaven” is a false imagination. The first two sentences describe what is seen and felt, and the last two sentences describe what is heard and heard. This kind of virtual and real, vivid and colorful, makes people feel as if they can see “green mountains outside the mountains and towers outside the towers”.
