我们知道曹操再一次被朝廷招回来的时候，灵帝已经死了。灵帝死了以后，朝局大乱，董卓入京把持了朝政。董卓入京以后他也很明白一个道理，他自己带来的西北军，那是一群土匪，搞破坏可以，搞建设是不行的。要搞建设，要得天下，还得依靠东汉王朝原来的那些官员和将领。于是董卓他也拉拢人才，集中就包括曹操，董卓任命曹操为骁骑校尉。这个时候曹操的政治远见、政治敏锐和政治眼光就表现出来了，曹操一眼就看穿了，追随董卓的结果只能是祸国殃民和自取灭亡。于是曹操就从京城里逃了出来，准备逃回老家。

To engage in construction and win the world, we must rely on the original officials and generals of the Eastern Han Dynasty. So Dong Zhuo also recruited talents, including Cao Cao, who Dong Zhuo appointed as a Xiaoqi Colonel. At this time, Cao Cao’s political foresight, political acumen, and political vision were manifested. At a glance, Cao Cao saw through, and following Dong Zhuo would only result in disaster for the country and the people and self-destruction. So Cao Cao escaped from the capital and prepared to flee back to his hometown.
曹操走到陈留，陈留就在现在开封市的东南面，历来是兵家必争之地，他在这个地方停下来了。为什么呢，他得到陈留一个叫卫兹的人赞助，这个卫兹大概是家里很有钱的，赞助了曹操一大笔钱财，这件事情是非常重要的，而且历来不太被人注意。就是三国时代的那些英雄，比方说曹操，比方说刘备，他们能够起兵，能够成为一方诸侯，都是得到财团赞助的，而且这个地方财团通过资助他们认为的英雄人物来参与政治，是中国传统社会的一个政治传统。那么曹操得到了卫兹的赞助以后就在当地招兵买马，最后公开打出旗号，要成立义军讨伐董卓，这是曹操成为“乱世英雄”做的第一件事情：“首倡义兵”。曹操的这个倡议得到了天下英雄的响应，各路诸侯各路豪杰纷纷起兵，举起义旗，要讨伐董卓，匡复汉室。

Moreover, this local financial group participated in politics by funding heroes they believed to be, which is a political tradition in traditional Chinese society.”. After receiving the support of Weizi, Cao Cao recruited troops and horses in the local area. Finally, he publicly announced that he would establish a rebel army to crusade against Dong Zhuo. This was the first thing Cao Cao did to become a “hero in troubled times”: “advocating a righteous army.”. Cao Cao’s initiative received a response from the heroes of the world. The various vassals and heroes from all walks of life rose up in unison, raising the banner of righteousness, to crusade against Dong Zhuo and restore the Han family.
