
This poem was written in 1653 when the author was summoned by the Qing court to go north to Linqing (now in Shandong) and encountered heavy snow. This poem describes the difficulty and coldness of the journey, and is used to express the poet’s sad mood when he was forced to go to Beijing.
此诗是清顺治十年(1653年)作者应清廷征召,北上至临清(今属山东)遇大雪时所作。此诗写路途的难行与寒冷,用以表现诗人被迫入京时的悲凉心情。
