“Reduced-character Mulan Flower: Spring Resentment” is a poem written by Zhu Shuzhen, a female poet in the Song Dynasty. The first part of the poem describes the heroine’s restless and hopeless state caused by her loneliness; the second part uses close-up shots to capture two vivid and realistic pictures: one is a young woman with tears washing away most of her makeup, and the other is her facing a lonely lamp in the cold night, unable to sleep, depicting the image of a young woman alone and bored. The language of the whole poem is natural and graceful, popular and fluent. Although it is short, it has many ups and downs.
