白居易，字乐天，晚年又号香山居士，我国唐代伟大的现实主义诗人。是中国文学史上负有盛名且影响深远的唐代诗人和文学家，他的诗歌题材广泛，形式多样，语言平易通俗，有“诗魔”和“诗王”之称。
Bai Juyi, also known as Letian and Xiangshan Jushi in his later years, is a great realist poet in the Tang Dynasty of my country. He is a famous and influential Tang Dynasty poet and writer in the history of Chinese literature. His poems cover a wide range of themes, are diverse in form, and are written in plain and popular language. He is known as the “Poetry Demon” and the “Poetry King”.

一束苍苍色，知从涧底来。
斫掘经几日，枝叶满尘埃。
不买非他意，城中无地栽。

A bundle of dwarf pines look pale;
They come from the depth of the vale.
Dug up for only a few days.
Their twigs are dusted as in haze.
I will not buy them in the town.
