Mid-Lake Overnight Accommodations
At dusk the water and sky a heavy and dark greenish blue
Tree shadows deeply overlap and interpenetrate, fading rays of late sunlight.
Moon across the whole sky, cold and shimmering waves like a thousand acres of white silk.
New oranges enveloped by frost, thousands of golden trees.
Lucky to have no pressing government work, so why not drink freely?
Although the heart is content with reed flute songs, do not stop singing and chanting poems out loud.
Of all of the many flowered pleasure boats, which one did I stay in?
All I know is maybe somewhere between the foot of Dongting Mountain and the center of Tai Lake.
