春题湖上
湖 上 春 来 似 图 画
乱 蜂 围 绕 水 平 铺 。
松 排 山 面 千 重 翠
月 点 波 心 一 颗 珠。
碧 毯 线 头 抽 早 稻
青 罗 裙 带 展 新 蒲。
未 能 抛 得 杭 州 去
一 半 勾 溜 是 此 湖 。
Chun Ti Hu Shang
Hu shang chun lai si tu hua
Luan feng wei rao shui ping pu.
Song pai shan mian qian chong cui
Yue dian bo xin yi ke zu.
Bi tan xian tou chou zao dao
Qing luo qun dai zhan xin pu.
Wei neng pao de hang zhou qu
Yi ban gou liu shi ci hu.
Springtime Lakeview Poetry
Springtime lake vistas emerge like a painting
Thousands of bees hovering over the wide and flat lake.
Pine trees up the mountain aligned neatly in rows, like overlapping
green emeralds
Moon adorns the lake center like one pearl.
Rice paddies a dark green carpet, each stalk top beginning to set grain
New cattail leaves unfold their verdant green gauze.
Unable to go and abandon Hangzhou
Half of my stay here is to experience this lake.
Notes:
Hangzhou: Large city and current capital of the province of Zhejiang. Home to the famous Xi Hu (West Lake) and southern end of the Grand Canal. A former imperial capital city during the Southern Song Dynasty from 1132 to 1276.
