Bruce Lee (李小龙Lǐ Xiǎolóng) originally intended Game of Death to be a more philosophical treatment of martial arts. He started working on the film in 1972, after completing Way of the Dragon. Reportedly he shot about 90 minutes of footage (连续镜头liánxù jìngtóu) for the end of the film (of which 23 minutes can be used today). He never wrote a screenplay(剧本jùběn) for it. He envisioned a pagoda set on an island off the coast of Korea, with each level guarded by a different martial arts stylist. Three challengers - Bruce's character (Jeet Kune Do), Chieh Yuan (traditional Kung Fu) and James Tien - fight their way to the top of the pagoda and ultimate victory. The footage he shot only covers the upper 3 levels, guarded by Dan Inosanoto (Escrima), Chi Hon Tsoi (Hapkido) and Kareem Abdul Jabbar respectively. There is a sign at Dan Inosanto's floor which reads "Fu Deen" (Tiger Palace) and one at Chi Hon Tsoi's which reads "Lung Deen" (Dragon Palace). Bruce…- 0

Fist of Fury – 精武门(1972) – Chinese Movies
English name:Fist of Fury / The Chinese Connection Broadcast time:March 22, 1972 Starring:李小龙(Bruce Lee)、苗可秀(Nora Miao)、田俊 director:罗维 Introduction Today, we are going to talk about a 1974 film, named, Fist of Fury (精武门jīngwǔmén).The DVD Release Date is March 1, 2001.In the film Bruce Lee (李小龙Lǐ Xiǎolóng) kicked around Hollywood for years looking in vain for an American break when Hong Kong came calling. As Kato in the TV series The Green Hornet (青蜂侠qīngfēngxiá)he had become an Asian star (the series was renamed for his character when it crossed the Pacific) and ripe for his own vehicle. Plot This raw, low-budget effort, called The Big Boss in its native Hong Kong, is a generic revenge drama enlivened by Lee's intense screen presence and martial arts prowess. He's a country boy who takes a job at a Thailand ice-packing plant and discovers it's a cover for heroin smuggling. Lee is held back through the first half of the film by a promise he made his sweet, gray-haired mom not to brawl (which means you have to wait to see him in action), but his indignation turns to fury as friends and coworkers disappear and the boss sends thugs to take care of the brooding, intense country boy. The final half of the…- 0

Enter the Dragon – 龙争虎斗(1973) – Chinese Movies
English name:Enter The Dragon Broadcast time:July 26, 1973 Starring:李小龙(Bruce Lee)、John Saxon、Jim Kelly、茅瑛(Angela Mao Ying)、Ahna Capri、石坚(Shih Kien) director:Robert Clouse Introduction Today, we are going to talk about a film which is theatrical released in August 19, 1973.It is the last film completed by Bruce Lee (李小龙Lǐ Xiǎolóng) before his untimely death(英年早逝yīngniánzǎoshì), Enter the Dragon (龙争虎斗lóngzhēng-hǔdòu) was his entrée into Hollywood. The American-Hong Kong coproduction, shot in Asia by American director Robert Clouse, stars Lee as a British agent sent to infiltrate the criminal empire of bloodthirsty Asian crime lord Han (Shih Kien) through his annual international martial arts tournament. Lee spends his days taking on tournament combatants and nights breaking into the heavily guarded underground fortress, kicking the living tar out of anyone who stands in his way. The mix of kung fu fighting (choreographed by Lee himself) and James Bond intrigue (the plot has more than a passing resemblance to Dr. No) is pulpy by any standard, but the generous budget and talented cast of world-class martial artists puts this film in a category well above Lee's primitive Hong Kong productions. Unfortunately he's off the screen for large chunks of time as American maverick competitors (and champion martial artists) John Saxon and Jim Kelly take center stage, but once…- 0

Return of the Dragon – 猛龙过江(1973) – Chinese Movies
English name:The Way of the Dragon / Mang lung goh kong / Return of the Dragon / Revenge of the Dragon Broadcast time:December 30, 1972 Starring:李小龙(Bruce Lee)、苗可秀(Nora Miao)、罗礼士(Chuck Norris)、小麒麟(Little Unicorn) director:李小龙(Bruce Lee) Introduction Today,we are going to talk about a 1973 film, which is written and directed by Bruce Lee (李小龙Lǐ Xiǎolóng) Return of the Dragon (龙之归来lóng zhī guīlái), it is his third film, a mix of hard-edged kung fu (功夫gōngfǔ) and goofy humor (幽默yōumò). Once again he plays the country boy who travels to a foreign land, in this case Italy, where his restaurant-owning cousins face trouble from the local syndicate. Their strong-arm tactics have driven customers away and now threaten the family, but Lee refuses to buckle under their pressure and takes them on in a series of impressive confrontations. The film ends with a memorable showdown with world-champion karate artist Chuck Norris in the Roman Colosseum (though much of it is staged in a rather cheap studio set), a brutal, almost inhuman battle that revels in the intense punishment taken by the combatants. Norris is one of Lee's best opponents and a marvelous physical contrast: brawny and hairy, using power and blunt karate moves while lean, wiry Lee…- 0
