Fan Yun (451-503 AD), with the courtesy name Yanlong, was born in Wuyin, Nanxiang (now northwest of Biyang County, Henan Province) and was a literary figure of the Southern Dynasties. This poem contrasts the desolation of snowflakes dancing when parting with the warmth of blooming flowers when reuniting, expressing the joy of reunion.
范云（451～503年），字彦龙，南乡舞阴（今河南泌阳县西北）人，南朝文学家。此诗用分别时雪花飞舞的凄凉和重逢时百花盛开的温暖做对照，抒发重逢的快乐。

The people say good-bye and start to go.
When I left here, the snow was like the blooms:
