《留别王侍御维》是唐代诗人孟浩然在长安（今陕西西安）失意后创作的赠别王维之诗作。此诗先述说自己在京没有什么希望，天天在寂寞失望中度日，想离京却又不舍得与好友分别，表达了心中的怅惘和矛盾。接着慨叹自己无人援引，只好甘守寂寞，回乡隐居。全诗语调低沉，有对朝廷压抑人才的怨愤，有不忍远别知心朋友的留恋，还有怀才不遇的嗟叹。语言浅显，表达直率，对偶不求工整，但却自然流畅，显示出一种不事雕琢的自然之美。

Every day vainly I return to my threshold!
I desire to find a secluded place to live,
But thinking of parting with you makes me grieve.
Who among those lords will likely lend me a hand?
It’s hard to gain in the world an intimate friend!
Solitude is only what I ought to keep friends with;
I’ll close again the garden gate on my native heath.
