Two Poems: No. 2

Xue Hou Shu Bei Tai Bi: Er Shou

Guang yao yin hai xuan sheng hua.
Yi huang ren di ying qian chi
Su mai lian yun you ji jia.
Lao bing zi jie shi li tui
Kong yin “Bing Zhu” yi liu cha.
After Snow, Write on the Northern Terrace Wall:
Two Poems: No. 2
Sunrise on the city wall, more colors on the crows
On a path between the fields, black mud on the cart wheels.
Very cold and white, rising goose bumps
Blinding glare off the snow in all directions.
Buried locust seeds die by the thousands
Next year the grains will feed many families.
Being old and ill, my poems losing their strength
In vain, chant “Bing Zhu”, a famous snow poem better than mine.
