Beginning of Spring, Getting Up After Being Sick: (One Cluster of Blossoms)
Chu Chun Bing Qi: (Yi Cong Hua)
Jin nian chun qian la qin nian
Bing xue po chun yan.
Dong feng you xin wu ren jian
Lu wei yi liu ji hua bian.
Han ye zong chang gu qin yi nuan
Zhong gu jian qing yuan.
Zhao lai chu ri ban xian shan
Lou ge dan shu yan.
You ren bian zuo xun fang ji
Xiao tao xing ying yi zheng xian.
Shuai bing shao cong
Shu yong zi fang
Wei ai ri gao mian.
Beginning of Spring, Getting Up After Being Sick: (One Cluster of Blossoms)
This year spring has arrived earlier than usual
Ice and snow breaking up, springtime enchanting.
No people see that the east wind brings its message
Tiny traces of green, willow tree flowers along the edges.
Nights still cold and long, yet feel that in one quilt one can easily be warm
Bell and drum sounds gradually become soft and lucid.
Day breaks, dawn light halfway up the mountains
Thin, scattered mist around towers and pavilions.
People now make travel plans to view the emerging flowers
Peach and apricot buds should come out ahead of the others.
But with illness and little strength of mind, scattered and weary
I love the days of long naps and solitude.
