Wang Ling Poem: Won’t Spring Come Back– 王令《送春》
送春 王令[1] 三月残花落更[2]开, 小檐日日燕飞来。 子规[3]夜半犹啼血[4], 不信东风唤不回。 注释: [1] 王令:北宋才子,字逢原,王安石的妹夫,年仅二十八岁就不幸去世。《千家诗》注说:“三月春色日暮,花残已落,而复有开者。小檐之燕子,日日飞来营其巢穴也。子规之鸟当三更而悲鸣,至血流而方止。言其春去难留,虽子规之悲啼流血,而不能唤回已去之春光也。”子规啼血预示诗人早逝,最后一句写出了诗人对春光的热爱。 [2] 更:再次。 [3] 子规:杜鹃鸟。 [4] 啼血:指杜鹃鸟的鸣叫至泣血而止。 Won't Spring Come Back Wang Ling In late spring flowers fall but they will blow again, And swallows come back under the eaves now and then.
