Viewing the Hanjiang River

And thus it joins the frontiers of Chu with Xiang,
And all nine branches through the great Chang Jiang.
The torrents seem beyond the world to flow,
The distant hills more fade away than show.
The neighbouring cities all on billows ride,
The massive waves are surging far and wide.
What lovely weather here in Xiangyang! Well,
Let’s stay and find a park and drink like hell!
