夏 衣 始 轻 体
游 步 爱 僧 居。
果 园 新 雨 后
香 台 照 日 初。
绿 阴 生 昼 静
孤 花 表 春 馀。
符 竹 方 为 累
形 迹 一 来 疏。

Summer begins, clothes in the light and thin style
Especially fond of the Buddhist monk residences.
Recent rains upon the rear fruit orchard
Early rising sun reflected upon the incense terraces.
Daylight calm, emerging green shadows
Lone flower expresses the spring’s abundance.
Carrying the government seal makes one toil
My footprints here too few and scattered.

Kai Yuan Temple: Buddhist temple in Fujian Province. Built in 685 AD,
it is located in the city of present day Quanzhou.
