关羽被曹操和孙权包围起来的时候，刘备为什么不救援？我的回答是六个字：想不到，来不及。吕思勉先生的《秦汉史》里面讲到这样一个观点，就是这一场战争的结果，不但是曹操没有想到的，也是孙权没有想到的，至少曹操和孙权都没有想到战争的形势转化得那么快。曹操想不到，孙权想不到，刘备就该想到？刘备也想不到。有置疑的人说，这场战争打了七个月，完全来得及派援军去啊。这个时间算错了，这七个月的前半部分都是关羽在胜利状态啊，他把樊城团团围住，眼看就要拿下来了，报回去的都是捷报，前方打胜了仗还有派援军的道理吗？一直到曹操把孙权的效忠信射进樊城和关羽的军营的时候，关羽接了信以后还不觉得自己要失败，他还不撤军嘛，他还准备把这个樊城攻下来以后再去对付孙权嘛。而且，刘备和关羽也万万没有想到，孙权，过去的老朋友、好朋友、盟友、一起打曹操的那个人会跟曹操勾结起来嘛，也想不到吕蒙会把军队化装成商人，这样悄悄地去抄他的后路，都想不到嘛。等到关羽败走麦城的时候，已经完全来不及了，信说不定都送不出去，就算送出去信又怎么样呢？刘备总不能派空降兵到麦城吧？这个时候只有直升飞机能救啊。

He didn’t want to withdraw his troops yet, and he was ready to attack Sun Quan after attacking this Fancheng. Moreover, Liu Bei and Guan Yu never imagined that Sun Quan, an old friend, good friend, ally, and the person who fought against Cao Cao together would collude with Cao Cao, or that Lv Meng would disguise the army as a merchant and secretly copy his back path. By the time Guan Yu lost Maicheng, it was completely too late. The letter said that he couldn’t even deliver it. Even if he did, what would happen?
