Spring Summer Fall and Winter: (Recall Imperial Descendants)

Chun: (Yi Wang Sun)
Chun

Qi qi fang cao yi wang sun
Liu wai lou gao kong duan hun.

Du yu sheng sheng bu ren wen
Yu huang hun
Yu da li hua shen bi men.

Spring:

Lush and luxuriant the fragrant grasses, recall imperial descendants
Willow trees outside the tall buildings, empty and broken spirits.                  Cannot bear to listen to the songbirds under our eaves
Expecting the yellow dust
Behind the secluded closed doors rainfall strikes the pear blossoms.

Xia:

Feng pu lie lie xiao chi tang
Guo yu he hua man yuan xiang.

Shen li fu gua bing xue liang
Zhu fang chuang
Zhen xian yong nian wu meng chang.

Summer:

Watergrasses fluttering in the wind along a small pond levee
Passing rain, full lotus blossom fragrances in the courtyard.

Pears and melons sunk into the icy cold water
Bamboo bed, to weary to embroider
Long afternoon dreams.

Qiu:

Sou sou feng leng di hua qiu
Ming yue xie qin du yi lou.

Shi er zhu lian bu shang gou
An ning mou
Yi dian yu deng gu du tou.

Autumn:

Dry and cool wind, reed flowers of autumn
Bright moonlight aslant, approaching a solitary tower.

Twelve-pearl curtains not placed upon side hooks
Dark and hidden, only one speck of lamplight from a fishing boat
At an ancient ferry crossing.

Dong:

Tong yun feng sao xue chu qing
Tian wai gu hong san liang sheng.

Du yong han qin bu ren ting.
Yue long ming
Chuang wai mei hua shou ying heng.

Winter:

Winds sweep away the red clouds, snowy sky begins to clear up
Far away the sounds of two or three lonely geese in the sky.

Cannot bear to listen, huddled in a cold quilt
Bright moonlight everywhere, plum blossoms outside her window
Thin shadows from east to west.
