上一集我们讲到，曹操前期的五位重要谋士——荀彧、荀攸、程昱、郭嘉、贾诩，都是主动投奔曹操的，其中有四个人来自曹操的对手的阵营，郭嘉和荀彧是从袁绍那里投奔曹操的。郭嘉临走的时候跟袁绍的谋士说了一番话，这番话很重要，郭嘉是这么说的，他说：
“夫智者审于量主，故百举百全，而功名可立也。袁公徒效周公之下士，而未知用人之机，多端寡要，好谋无决，欲与共济天下大难，定霸王之业，难矣。”
Yi Zhongtian:
In the previous episode, we mentioned that the five important counselors of Cao Cao’s early stage – Xun Yu, Xun You, Cheng Yu, Guo Jia, and Jia Xu – all voluntarily defected to Cao Cao. Among them, four people came from the camp of Cao Cao’s opponents, and Guo Jia and Xun Yu defected to Cao Cao from Yuan Shao. When Guo Jialin left, he spoke to Yuan Shao’s counselor, which was very important. This is what Guo Jia said, he said:
“A wise man judges the Lord, so he can accomplish everything, and his fame can be established. Duke Yuan followed the example of Duke Zhou’s corporal, but he did not know how to employ people. He was versatile and resourceful, and he was indecisive. He wanted to help the world in great difficulties and settle the cause of hegemony, which was difficult.”
