＊袁术的话当时说得冠冕堂皇，其实他是另有打算。在那个动乱的年代，乱世枭雄们面对皇帝的宝座都动了不少的心思，董卓采取的方式是废立，袁绍采取的方式是另立，袁术的方式就更猖狂，也更愚蠢。那么，袁术当时心里想的是什么呢？

Dong Zhuo’s approach was to abolish the establishment, while Yuan Shao’s approach was to establish another. Yuan Shu’s approach was even more rampant and foolish. 实际上他心里头是准备自己做皇帝，这就是第三种做法——“自立”。袁术的逻辑是这样的：一，天下已经打乱，大汉王朝已行将就木，迟早要有别的家族来替代刘氏家族；二，当今之世，有资格、有能力替代他们老刘家的就是咱老袁家，因为我老袁家“四世三公”啊，已经有了足够的政治资本；三，我们老袁家最有资格替代现任皇帝的是我袁术，为什么呢，我是嫡出，袁绍他是庶出，哪有小老婆生的人当皇帝的道理呢。更何况袁术这个时候他得了一个宝贝，什么宝贝呢？传国玉玺。传国玉玺是当年洛阳之乱的时候被太监从宫殿里偷出来，又被孙坚缴获的，因为在那个天下大乱的时候，我上一集讲过就是所有的诸侯都是不敢进军去打董卓的，只有曹操去打了，又打败了，其实还有一个人去打了，就是孙坚，就是孙权的父亲孙坚。孙坚是个英雄，一直杀进洛阳城，把董卓赶跑了，那么孙坚到洛阳以后他就得到了这块传国玉玺。后来孙坚战败了以后这个玉玺就到了他夫人手上，被袁术知道以后就把孙坚的夫人扣做人质，硬是把这个玉玺要了过来，捏在自己的手上。这一回袁术就叫做耗子腰里别了杆枪，起了打猫的心思，他觉得下一任的中国皇帝非他袁术莫属。

What’s more, Yuan Shu got a treasure at this time, what treasure? The Jade Seal of the State is handed down. It is said that the imperial seal of the state was stolen from the palace by the eunuch during the Luoyang Rebellion and captured by Sun Jian. Because during the Great Rebellion, I mentioned in my previous episode that all princes dared not march to fight Dong Zhuo. Only Cao Cao went to fight and defeated him. In fact, there was another person who went to fight, Sun Jian, Sun Quan’s father. Sun Jian is a hero who has been fighting into Luoyang City and driving Dong Zhuo away. After Sun Jian arrived in Luoyang, he received this jade seal that passed down the country. Later, after Sun Jian’s defeat, the jade seal came into the hands of his wife. When Yuan Shu learned about it, he took Sun Jian’s wife hostage and insisted on taking the jade seal over and holding it in his own hand. This time, Yuan Shu was called a mouse with a gun pinned in his waist, and he felt like hitting a cat. He felt that the next Chinese emperor was none other than Yuan Shu.
到了公元197年，袁术按耐不住，正式称帝。但是袁术的这个做法同样招来一片反对，首先他的部下就不赞成，袁术打算称帝的时候他也开了一个会，说大家看现在天下大乱，得有人出来收拾局面，我袁某打算顺应天意和民意，大家看怎么样啊？他虽然没说我要当皇帝，他说我要顺应天意和民意，大家就明白他是要当皇帝。他的属下就说，袁公，当年周文王三分天下有其二，尚且服侍殷纣王，请问您比得上周文王吗？当今圣上难道是殷纣王吗？这就是不赞成嘛。袁术没有办法，只好说算散会，然后又去征求意见，所有的反馈全是反对。和他关系好的诸侯都反对，比方说孙策，孙策本来跟他关系还不错，一听说他当皇帝，马上写封信来绝交。那么袁术没有办法就去找吕布，派一个使者到吕布那儿说，咱们结个儿女亲家，我让我的儿子娶你的女儿做媳妇，你看怎么样；吕布说你谋反，把他的使节扣起来，把袁术写来的信送到许昌上交朝廷。袁术勃然大怒就去打吕布，结果又打败了。

Although he didn’t say that I wanted to be an emperor, he said that I wanted to conform to the will of heaven and public opinion, and everyone understood that he wanted to be an emperor. His subordinates said, Duke Yuan, when King Wen of Zhou divided the world into two thirds, he still served King Zhou of Yin. Are you comparable to King Wen of last week? Is today the Holy One the King of Yin and Zhou? This is not to agree. Yuan Shu had no choice but to close the meeting and then ask for opinions. All the feedback was against it. The vassals who had a good relationship with him objected, such as Sun Ce, who had a good relationship with him. Upon hearing that he would become emperor, he immediately wrote a letter to break up his friendship. So Yuan Shu couldn’t help but go to Lv Bu and send an envoy to Lv Bu and say, ‘Let’s get married and let my son marry your daughter as his daughter-in-law. What do you think?’; Lv Bu said that you were rebellious, so he detained his envoys and sent the letter from Yuan Shu to Xuchang to the court. Yuan Shu flew into a rage and went to fight Lv Bu, but he defeated him again.
