By 199 AD, Yuan Shu finally found that his fake emperor couldn’t do it anymore, but he wasn’t willing to do it yet. So he decided to give the treasure he had obtained, the imperial seal of the Chuanguo, to Yuan Shao. I won’t be able to be Yuan Shu anymore. Let’s be Yuan Shao. 但是这个愿望他也不能如愿，曹操早就派刘备在下邳，下邳就是现在江苏省邳州市，派刘备带兵在下邳拦截袁术，单等他来送死。袁术没有办法，掉头又跑，逃到安徽省寿春附近八十里的一个江亭的时候，他再也跑不动了，一病不起。呜呼哀哉，只做了三年半的假皇帝。据说袁术死的时候非常惨，当时他的军粮已断，连他这个假皇帝的特供都不能保证了。袁术躺在床上要饭吃，厨师说，粮库里只剩下一点麸皮了，就做了一碗麸皮粥给袁术，袁术难以下咽。当时正是夏天，烈日炎炎，酷暑难当，袁术跟厨师说，唉，算了，给我喝一碗蜂蜜水吧！厨师说，这，这哪儿来的蜂蜜水啊？！就是这个麸皮粥，爱喝不喝吧。于是袁术长叹一声，倒在床上，沉默了很久，然后大吼了一声——我袁术怎么落到这个地步啊？！倒在床下，吐血一斗，死去。

Yuan Shu lay on the bed begging for food. The chef said that there was only a little bran left in the grain depot, so he made a bowl of bran Congee for Yuan Shu, who could hardly swallow it. At that time, it was summer, and the sun was scorching, and the heat was unbearable. Yuan Shu said to the chef, “Oh, forget it, give me a bowl of honey water!”! The cook said, “Here, where did you get the honey water?”?! This is the bran Congee. Do you like it or not. So Yuan Shu gave a long sigh and fell on the bed, silent for a long time, then roared loudly – how did I Yuan Shu come to this point?! Fall under the bed, spit blood and die.
